The EcoCenter at Heron's Head Park

The EcoCenter at Heron's Head Park is a landmark environmental education center in San Francisco dedicated to environmental justice and teaching about sustainability in the built environment. The center features: an off-grid solar array, an on-site wastewater treatment system with a constructed wetland; 15K gallons of rainwater storage; vegetative roof; reused and recycled building materials, and an array of sustainable landscape and land management solutions.

Chinatown Community Development Center Seniors Tour the EcoCenter in Cantonese

Today we gave our first tour in Cantonese! The EcoCenter's Wendy Kwong together with Volunteer Electrician Tong Woo led a tour for about 30 seniors from the Chinatown Community Development Center. The seniors had just toured the Southeast Wastewater Treatment plant and stopped at the EcoCenter to have lunch and to learn about our onsite-wastewater treatment system with constructed wetland.
